Bolsover Entertainment Contest

On Sunday 6th October Blidworth Welfare Band will be competing in the Bolsover Festival of Brass at Heritage High School, Clowne and is drawn as the final band of the day expected to play around 8.55pm.

The entire event is being live streamed online for supporters of the band to follow from the comfort of their own home with the first band in the Championship Section expected to play around 3pm.

Our programme takes the theme of Fusion and includes 'East Meets West'; Euphonium Solo, 'With His First Breath' performed by Lynden Cooper; The Water of Tyne and concluding with 'The Four Seasons'.

Blidworth Welfare Band will be hoping to impress adjudicator, Alan Morrison - former Principal Cornet of the world famous Grimethorpe Colliery Band and experienced conductor of many notable bands including Brighouse and Rastrick, Sellers Engineering and EYMS.
