Corey first picked up a trumpet aged 8 during a class lesson, his first banding experience was joining Ilkeston Brass training band, progressing to the senior band, and then moving to Blidworth in 2018 on 3rd cornet. After a short post-covid hiatus, he returned to Blidworth on the Assistant Principal Cornet seat in Early 2023. Corey has  played with both the National Children’s and National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

Outside of brass banding, Corey is the current National Band Sergeant Major of The Army Cadet Force, having been National Principal Cornet for 5 years, performing on tours in countries such as America, France, Belgium, Germany and Gibraltar. After finishing his time in the cadets, he will join the Nottingham Band of the Royal Engineers. Corey is also a member of South East Derbyshire Music Centre, having been the featured soloist of their entry into the National Concert Band Festival 2023, and has performed in Austria and Disneyland Paris.
