Martin has played in several bands across the Midlands and Yorkshire area in all sections, and joined Blidworth from the Ratby Co-operative Band, where he has performed twice at the Royal Albert Hall bringing with him a wealth of championship section experience. 

As well as his normal banding commitments, Martin has also been involved with the Wessex Band Summer School for a number of years, both as a player and member of the committee! 

Martin joined the band in July 2023 to play in the band alongside his wife Liz.
