Christmas with Blidworth

Blidworth Welfare Band will be going on tour this year with their Christmas Concert series culminating in a broadcast on BBC Radio Nottingham on Christmas day.

The band will commence their concert series with their traditional Christmas Concert in Burton Joyce Village Hall on Saturday 1st December.

On Thursday 13th December the band will then perform in Southwell Minster for the annual BBC Radio Nottingham Christmas broadcast.

Two days later on Saturday 15th December, Blidworth Welfare Band will then perform its first Christmas Concert in Newark upon Trent, performing in the magnificent St Mary Magdalene Church from 7.30pm. Tickets for the Newark concert are available at the door or by calling Karen Cretney on the number at the foot of this page.

The band will then culminate their 'Christmas on Tour' series of concerts in the usual way by holding their annual Christmas Concert at Blidworth Welfare on Thursday 20th December from 8.15pm.

Musical Director, Simon Oates said "We have a great programme lined up for our Christmas Concert series and performing in such magnificent venues as Southwell Minster and Newark Parish Church will provide the band with the desired platform for what will be a great series of concerts. We will be performing works from Eric Ball through to modern jazz versions of well known Christmas pieces... something for all the family".
