Elizabeth started playing the cornet age 8 having lessons in school, then joined the Thoresby Youth Band age 13.

 

Liz then moved to Dronfield Band in 2014 whilst she attended Huddersfield University, before she moved to Shirebrook Welfare Band on front row cornet in 2016.

Liz then moved to the Ratby Co-operative Band with her husband, Martin in 2019, where as well as playing back row cornet she also had a go in the percussion section! Liz then joined Blidworth Band in June 2023 on 2nd cornet.
