Sarah first began playing in her local brass band, Whitwell at the age of 9. Sarah started her musical journey on flugel, before joing the Creswell Colliery Band on cornet at age 14.

​

Since then Sarah has played with several local bands, including Thurcroft, Welbeck and Thoresby, and has played everything from sop to euphonium over the years, before finally settling back on the cornet! 

Sarah joined the Blidworth Welfare Band in 2010, and has occupied the Repiano Cornet seat ever since!
